Antalya Nightlife: Bars, Clubs & Shows

Located on Turkey's western Mediterranean coastline, Antalya is a buzzing seaside resort with beaches, restaurants, museums, and ancient architecture. From the old city of Kaleiçi to the Roman-era harbour, there's history and culture just waiting to be explored. So that takes care of the daytime activities, but don't worry, because the fun doesn't stop once the sun sets.

There's plenty of Antalya nightlife to keep the whole family entertained after dark. From live music and cocktails with a sea view to late-night clubs and atmospheric opera, there's enough variety to keep everyone happy. Here's where to go for the best nightlife in Antalya.

Bars

Antalya has a buzzing nightlife scene. Particularly busy during the summer months, you'll find bars dotted around the marina and in the Old Town (Kaleiçi). There are sports bars where you can watch the latest games on big screens, traditional British pubs, authentic Turkish taverns, and waterfront bars that look out across the harbour.

Start off your night with a concert at Simurg Temple. Grab an ice-cold beer as pop and rock bands take to the stage to perform live cover sessions of famous songs. There's loads of room for dancing and it's so good you might want to stay all evening.

Head to Filika Café-Bar in the centre of Kaleiçi and mix with Antalya's hipster crowd. Sip a cocktail or beer and enjoy the venue's live pop and rock music sets.

For a more chilled-out evening, the aptly named Castle Café is next to Kaleiçi Castle and is a quieter, cosier alternative to some of the busier bars. Choose from the wide selection of drinks and snacks, as you take in the outstanding view and beautiful sunset.

Clubs

You'll find plenty of nightclubs to choose from, and the club scene is one of the most important parts of the nightlife in Antalya. Dance into the early hours to live music and enjoy the warmth of a Mediterranean evening at Club Ceilo. With a capacity of 2000 people, this big outdoor club is found in the popular Antalya Marina and has stunning views of the ancient fortifications. Don't forget your swimsuit, there's a large pool that's frequently used late at night!

Known for attracting famous DJs and energetic clubbers, Gaga Club Lara is another favourite for party-lovers looking for some banging nightlife in Antalya. It's located in Kaleiçi and has a strict dress code, so remember to ditch the shorts and flip-flops if you want to get in here. Club Inferno is only 45 minutes away in Kemer, where you can enjoy go-go dancers, loud pumping music and the occasional foam party.

On the stage

If you love opera and ballet, then the Antalya State Opera and Ballet at Aspendos will knock your theatrical socks off! Spend an evening in the 2,000-year-old Roman theatre and enjoy the unique atmosphere and acoustics of the ballet and opera in an historic setting. There are shows at the Aspendos Arena too, which is a more modern arena close by, so if you want to experience the Roman amphitheatre be sure to buy the right tickets as it can get confusing.

For more evening entertainment and cultural Antalya nightlife, head to the Antalya Cultural Centre. A theatre just west of the city centre, you can watch family-friendly cultural events like the opera, ballet, folk dancing and choir performances.
